Dear Publisher
I just left the Bologna Book Fair for the first time ever, and I loved it! It’s like heaven for children’s book and Italian food fans, of which I am both.
My first visit to Italy and the Bologna Book Fair are huge milestones for the year, but I’m very excited to make one of the biggest announcements Combined Book Exhibit has ever had below, so definitely check that out! Piggybacking on that announcement is a short but sweet preview of the London Book Fair, which is just a few weeks away!
Remember, The Book Checkout, CombinedBook.com, Comblogged Book Exhibit and now PubMatch (read about it below!) are always here for your benefit!
Happy reading!

| What is PubMatch?... |
Imagine if The Frankfurt Book Fair took place all year round; that if any time during the year you could network with a community of authors, agents and publishers, find new titles, and communicate with professionals from all over the world, all in the name of getting business done within the publishing industry. And for free. What you might be imagining is PubMatch.org.
PubMatch.org is like a virtual book fair, taking place all year round, in every country, and it’s free. At PubMatch.org, you can create a profile (your booth on the show floor), as either a publisher, agent/agency, author, and coming soon, illustrator. On your profile, you can assign yourself subject tags, indicate what you do, what you’re looking for, and more. Also on your profile, you can put your titles on display, just as you would in Frankfurt. For every title you add to your profile, you can upload preview pages, a cover image, and perhaps most important, indicate any rights you’re trying to sell.
For all members, PubMatch.org provides a venue to get business done within the publishing industry. At PubMatch.org, publishers can find the next book for their upcoming list, or maybe find a publisher across the Atlantic to buy the rights for one they already have. Agents and agencies and find more books they want to represent and connect with more publishers so they have a wider reach for the people they already represent. Authors can try to find the perfect publisher for their manuscript or an agent to help them out. Illustrators will soon be able to find authors to partner with, or publishers to whom they can submit work. But at the heart of it all is communication, networking and an open platform on which to share ideas.
After it's debut in Bologna, it's already off to a great start with lots of profiles already created. With interest from lots of international collectives, we expect PubMatch will be a worldwide tool for the entire publishing industries. And, with a recently made partnership with BookExpo America, PubMatch is set to be THE destination for starting business.
The best part of all is that PubMatch.org is entirely free. You can get started with your free account at www.PubMatch.org, and begin finding your match from a world of possibilities.

| London Book Fair Concise Preview... |
Overlooking the fact that it snowed in London just days before the book fair started, The London Book Fair is still the premier Spring event for the general publishing industry. This year’s show should be no different, as it yet again includes a full schedule of programs and events, a full hall of exhibits, and lots to do with India, this year’s country of honor.
While the exhibit hall doesn’t have any drastic changes from year to year—all the big publisher and distributors have booths, there’s the International Rights Centre, and of course The New Title Showcase—programming is always evolving to reflect the times. This year’s time-specific programming includes seminars on “Green Publishing,” “Recession-Proof Marketing,” digital publishing, and “2020 Publishing: What Will Publishing be like in 10 Years?”
Complete information on everything The London Book Fair has to offer can be found on their website at www.LondonBookFair.co.uk. The fair will be taking place in Earls Court, London, from April 20-22.
